Introducing NahavandCounty

Located in the south of Hamadan Provinceis NahavandCountysurrounded by Zagros Mountains. Its capital is Nahavand city which is a historical city in Iran. 

The dialect spoken by the people of Nahavand city is called Nahavandi which is the reminder of OldIranian languages and is
 derived from Pahlavi dialect. The majority of the people in Nahavand and its villages speak Nahavandi which is the first dialect spoken in Nahavand County. 
Its population of the city is 186,000 and it has 4districts including CentralDistrict, Khazal, ZarinDasht and kiyan and 13 suburbs including Sha’ban, Tariqoleslam, Gamasiyab, Fazl, Garin, Kiyan, Sarab, Eastern Khezel. 
Covering an area of about 1460 square kilometers,with geographic coordinates of 34^ and 1 minute along the east, Nahavand County is located 440 square kilometers from the southwest of Tehran and 160 square kilometers from the south of the Hamadan province. The County is bordered with Tooiserkan County in the north, Kermanshah Province in the west and northwest, Lorestan Province in the south and southwest and Malayer County in the east.
